Question about jobs and the law ?

when someone gets fired from a job, (for doing something stupid, such as stealing or something)

and the person applies somewhere else but does not use the previous employer who fired him as a reference, would the new place that wants to hire him know that he got fired from the other place?

in other words, if you apply somewhere, will they still know how many places you worked even if you don't write it down on the application?

If the company does a background check, they will find out. If they don't do a background check, they will still wonder about the gap in employment. If you cover it by saying you worked longer at an earlier job, they will find out you lied about the dates you worked the earlier job, because dates are one thing they ask.

If you got fired for doing something stupid, the best thing to do is just admit it and say you learned from it and wouldn't do it again.

But if it was stealing, that will make employers afraid to hire you. Did you steal money or merchandise? Maybe try to just say you did something stupid, don't wish to share the details, learned from it, and see if they'll accept that. If you took something like leftovers from a fast food place or an office supply like Post-it notes, just say you weren't thinking of it as stealing, you've learned, you won't do it again. (Everyone takes office supplies at one time or another, usually without thinking. They use a pen and stick it in their pocket and find it at home when they clean their pockets to do laundry. Things like that.)

If it helps, there are places that won't bother checking your application. Find a job as a dishwasher at a busy, non-chain restaurant, and they may hire you without even looking at an application.

no. leave the previous job off the resume. you'll be good.

No but if you are interviewed they'll probably ask what you were doing during the time when there's a gap on your application or resume.

They're bound to ask you about it if you don't write down where you've worked before. Remember that! There's no way of them not being able to know all that information.

And I sent an email to you at the address you gave me, did you get it or no?? You're email address is kinda confusing.

if you don't estate it in your Bio data, they will not find it out (except if these company will ask from the time that you have a missing date what did you do at those date), people tend just to say that they build a small business or work in your family business for a while.

Only if you live in a small town.

Definitely, do not include this job on future applications.

Good luck.
