Question about law school application?

I am applying for law schools, and one of the questions I have to answer in a personal statement is "Why do you want to become a lawyer and what qualities do you possess to become a successful attorney?" I come from an Indian background and I want to discuss how not many Indian women become lawyers and I want to represent India and the United States as a whole. However, I feel that sounds kind of cliche, can someone help me think of a good and concise way to write how my background is connected into me wanting to become a lawyer? Also, I want to specifically go into corporate law. I do not want to talk about how I want to help people, because I have heard from many people how that sounds repetitive and the admissions council will get tired of reading that. What is a good reason/idea that I could use in my personal statement on WHY I want to become a corporate attorney?

Anthony D
I've been on law school admissions committees and have read 1000s of personal statements. If I were you, I would spend some time thinking about why you want to go into corporate law. Really think about it. Then I would explain it clearly and cogently. Phoniness can be detected; statements from the heart never seem cliche. BTW, it the only reason you want to become a corporate lawyer is to make money, I wouldn't go to law school. You can make more money going to business school. Good luck.
