I was laid off from my job the end of February and having been collecting unemployment for four weeks.
Recently, I was offered a temporary position (2 months) with no benefits. Is this deemed "suitable work" according to Florida's unemployment compensation guidelines? The hours were 8 to 5, which would have hindered my ability to pursue full-time employment opportunities.

Lots of people work 8-5 and still look for jobs, so that's no valid reason. And no benefits isn't a valid reason either. If it's 100 miles from home or if the salary was MUCH less than you had been making, you'd probably be OK turning it down. |
