Really want to be a lawyer but...?

I'm poor....
I have a non-law degree and a PGCE but I would really like to go and do the Graduate Diploma in Law and then the Legal Practice Course as its my dream to be a lawyer and I don't want to put it off any longer, I just don't have the money.
How did everyone pay fees/cover living expenses for their course?
Any replies from people who have found funding for these courses would be much appreciated or anyone with knowledge of this process. I'm in England.

Warning: Stay away from the field of Law!!! Jobs in the field of Law are really drying up FAST!!! This is NOT a good field to invest in right now!!! Reasons: there are simply too many attorneys right now, very bad economy, a lot of people today (mistakenly) think they can do their own legal work now thanks to the WWWeb, there are WAY TOO MANY law schools churning out WAY TOO MANY graduates for today's economy. Even if you would make it through law school, you probably won't be able to find a job.
Suggestion: Go into the field of Healthcare <<< LOTS of jobs there. Your odds of finding scholarships, grants, etc. in the field of Healthcare are much higher than in the field of Law (which WONT happen in the field of Law). Go into Healthcare.

My dream is to be a Lawyer. The only real advice i can give is to not give up. Don't let them win. Follow your dream as far as you can and don't give in. |
