Resignation without notice period legal; case?

I was working with a company for 14 months .As i was looking for better job prospects they came to know about this. They stopped my salary and when I objetced to this they harrassed me. I went to the chairman of the company and then they gave my salary via cheqe(Normally they salary is credited to bank)
I resigned from the company after that company and now they have filed case against me to give three month salary as it was a clause in my appointemet letter.
Is it legall to stop salary of an employee for three days without any show cuse notice ,

Whether it is legal or illegal is secondary.

Under Humanitarian Grounds it is absolutely illegal. Any Company to make an employee to work to their tune it will take definetly atleast six months to one year. after that only the company gets expected output from the employee.

In that case you are working there only 14 months means, without notice it is illegal on your part.
