Should I give my SSN# to personal employer as she request it upon interview?

I am not sure if should I give my SSN to this lady because I am applying for housekeeping and driver's license position . This just a summer job. I don't confortable to give my full infor, except my driver's license and insurance.

?
Yes, if she is going to employ you she is entitled to your SSN. She may be planning to withhold taxes from your wages. Or, she may deduct your pay as an expense on her taxes, and she'd need your SSN to do that.

Because of the type of position you are applying for I am sure she wants to conduct a background check. Tax reasons is the least of the problem. You are in someone's home and a driver's license is needed to which you will obviously be driving. If you were in this person's position would you hire someone who may have a criminal background or a suspended license? Of course you wouldn't. She is merely protecting her home by ensuring she is hiring a person without a criminal background etc... Just as you would or any other person for that matter.

It's actually not mandatory that you give an employer your SSN, but they do have the right to ask for it and they also have the right to deny you a job if you do not share that information with them. Maybe you can tell her that you'd rather wait until you actually get the job to give her your SSN.

if your gonna work you have to pay tax and that is only recorded by SS number
