Should I search for another job now?

I am a project worker. I am an HR assistant to Training & development but i am still under a man power agency. My contract will end by the first week of june. I asked the Personnel Officer what is my status but she can't give me an assuring answer that i'll be absorbed by the company as a regular employee. After june, if the result would be negative, i'll be left job less, penniless and so pathetic..but if I search for a job now and find one then in june, the result would be positive, i would surely regret it..What should I do. I am a hardworking young lady but i have doubts as to the result of the asessment of my boss..What should I do. Please help me..

Don't talk to HR talk to your boss. If you want to stay with the company but if the situation won't allow them to hire you permanently then ask for a recommendation for the search and if he has any contact that could use your talents. Regardless start polishing your resume' just in case.

Unless, you have positive feedback by now start you search for a new job immediately. Don't trust a temp agency as much as a regular job since, they make money off every hour you work. They truly can find other people to fill your shoes and are probably looking to do so now.

Protect yourself and get another job. If the temp agency can get you placed in the job you have now and you find another job,at least, you will have two to choose from and some security. Good luck!

I worked construction for nearly 40 years and I looked for a job every day of my life. The only thing working does is give you something to add to your resume. You owe it to yourself not to settle. ALWAYS look for better employment !!! Employers have absolutely no loyalty to you, but expect you to stay with them if they need you. You get treated a lot better if they know that you can and will leave at a moments notice. Get the resume sent out !!!

The manpower agency and the present company would have a contract, not to absorb you for a certain period. This is a legal document and no employer dares to defy.
They may take permission to employ you and the manpower agency has every reason to refuse to oblige the company.

It is always good not to break the contract and try for another job

yes if ur sure ur not going 2 have a job then start lookin now, u should b able to get a stable job, contracts are difficult cuz they can let u go wheneva ur contract expires...goodluk in whateva u decide....
