I was wondering if convicted felons could ever live a normal life again and have a good career with out being judged for the rest of their life?

They can but it also depends on the felony , employers do hire some felons dependong on the type of felon it is and the type of work the person is trying to get , some states even give employers a tax credit to hire felons , etc ,, but if your felony is armed robbery theft , no way your out of luck , if its drug related well you cant get a job in a hospital , lik ei said it all depends on the type and severity of the felony , some places will hire and others wont , just like if you have bad credit or creditors contacting you employers will shy away from hiring you because they feel that the way you pay your bills reflects your caractoer ,
I dont think they should turn away felons everyone deservives a second chance but not a rappist or child predetor they deserve nothing except life behind bars with the biggest bad *** of the prison there in |

It's certainly possible for them to live a normal life.
In areas with high crime and gang activity (Los Angeles, for instance) there are programs to help ex-cons adjust. Many people go into the Armed Forces and other public service careers that allow them to try and give back.
On that note, if one becomes a felon BECAUSE of the Armed Forces (through a court martial) or they get a BCD/OTH discharge, their chance of good post-service employment drops off dramatically. That alone is a form of for-life punishment. |

they should concentrate on their strengths, and what they are good at that most around them are not, but use it in a constructive not destructive way. Reduce drawing attention to the past by showing less self consciousness, fill their time and conversation with enthusiasm for the future, and build confidence in themselves in what they have to offer and being able to express that to others. Have answers prepared for the criticism they feel they will get. |
