So, i'm 16, and there's a good chance of me changing my mind on this but at the moment, occupation as an FBI agent really appeals to me and i've done some research BUT; there's a problem.
I hear they run background checks on all applications. I don't have anything to worry about except that I've smoked marijuana (and i still kind of do). I know that they have a way of finding out regardless of whether or not i tell them. So, knowing that i've smoked marijuana, would they still consider hiring me?

You will have to pass a background check and undergo a polygraph. The FBI check goes back to the age 18. Since you are not yet 18 you have time to change if this is your life ambition. (former US Fed/DC; psychologist) |

stop smoking immediately. did those talks that you had with your second grade teacher mean anything to you and do your parents know what you are doing anyway. you can't be in the fbi if you are in bad shape or dead. If you are not dead in a few years try it. most chance it won't be considered so much if you STOP SMOKING POT |

If you smoke mary while you interview, then, no, you have no chance. Plus you get arrested. But if you smoke mary while you are hoping to get hired on with them, then no chance here either because they run a drug test. If you smoke mary, as a kid, and no longer as an adult, then, you may have a chance, since Bush admitted he smoked, and so did Clinton. |
