"The parties currently hold title to the Property as community property. The parties shall transfer their current respective interests to the PARTIES as tenants in common".
Can someone clear up for me the meaning of the capitalized word(I capitalized it)? Why is it repeated? Doesn't it refer to the same "parties"?
It seems meaningless or repetitive: "the parties shall transfer ...to the parties"
A helping hand would do!

Many times, in a contract or other legal document, certain terms are defined. That is why the term is repeated within the same sentence.
So, yes, the parties who currently hold title shall transfer their interests to themselves to hold title a different way. |
