I know most of North Korea's political stuff and so forth is one, big massive lie, but please give me some serious answers and nothing silly, I'm really desperate here.

Officially it has a Civil-law ("Guilty until proven innocent) system similar to the former-USSR. Unofficially, though, they are kangaroo courts. No real judicial procedure goes on, and many people simply disappear to the labour camps with no trial at all.
