Because it's illegal. People that are not in this country legally, and therefore have no right to work here, should not be hired. There are penalties in connection with hiring illegal immigrants, and rightly so.

Additionally, they are trying to pass a bill right now in the government that says if you are caught hiring illegal immigrants more than once, you could lose your business license. The consequences are pretty harsh.
You also want to watch out for illegal immigrants who are working under someone else's social security number - this is a form of identity theft and you could be in trouble for this, too.

The basic problem is the Democrats wanting to give illegals all the benefits of us hard working, TAX PAYING, Americans have strived for for generations.
The problem is a national financial one. Illegals who do not have SS# and do not pay into the system are abusing the system, and so are the employers that permit this to happen.
Then, the Illegals send this untaxed money to their homeland to support their family and to build up a nest egg with American currency, which is worth a lot more then their homeland currency. What a great way to retire. |

they have to have a social security number to work in the U.S.
You have to require a new employee to show proof of the number because every time the employer issues a paycheck he has to withhold part of the employees money and pay it to the social security administration and what that does is it goes into an account for your number when you retire.
