This is my situation, will someone hire me?
Find answers to your legal question.

This is my situation, will someone hire me?

I currently work for Linen's N Things, but unfortunately the company will be going under right around Christmas time. I love that job and the people I work with, but I don"t want to be left unemployed once everything is all said and done. I work Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I was hoping I could find another job for Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday nights. I'm just a teen so I'll work for cheap money, plus I'm home-schooled so I can be flexible. I mean, its the holiday season, don't companies need more people around this time of year? Anyway, does this sound at all possible. Do you think I can have my cake and eat it too. Points rewarded for best answer.

Oh yeah you will be able to find a job that fits your schedule. Almost any retail type job has the potential to work any schedule. All you have to do is look for what you want and go get it. You will be fine.

Sure, absolutely. Many companies look specifically for seasonal part time staff or sometimes even seasonal full time staff. As long as you are willing to work Saturday shifts and commit to the holiday season you shouldn't have any trouble.

I would hurry if you're going to start looking. We've already done our holiday hiring in my store. I know most businesses have a set date to have all their seasonal people in place and our deadline is next week.
Your flexibility will definitely help get you hired!
Good luck!

Of course you can find flexible employment in the retail sector during the Christmas season; you only need to apply. I worked for K-Mart for a couple years and the pace may be much faster and less individual customer oriented than you're accustomed to at a place like Linen's N Things but it's essentially the same. You may not need to limit yourself to just retail jobs though. I found it quite pleasing that you wrote in complete sentences with mostly correct punctuation. You'll be surprised how far this kind of effort can take you.

Most retail establishments require extra help from about now till the end of the year. I highly recommend you hit up large retail stores like Sears, etc and be up front with them about your availability. I am certain you will get hired on.

NEVER EVER say you will work for cheap money.. You ARE worth a lot of money, no matter the job..

of course people will/should hire you.. you can also tell them the store you are working for now is going out of business.. there is nothing wrong with that.

The stores are expecting a horrible holiday season and unemployment is the highest it's been in years.

I thought home schooled kids were a bit more aware.
