I work through a temporary agency and am assigned to a company where I witnessed bad behavior between the boss and a female subordinate. I called the corporate office and complained without giving my identity. An attorney came to the office a few days later to question the office staff. I decided not to tell anything I knew and did not let on that I was the one who complained. The entire office rallied around the boss even though he is not a nice person. I felt that it was a lose lose situation and I would wind up getting fired by the temp agency. They would have said that I had no business doing what I did without letting them know. Am I right???

I would have wound up fired and this boss would have kept his job.

I do think you are right.

Staffing companies think of the their client's best interest, not your best interest and they would have frowned upon the action you took.

I, however, applaud you for your reporting the bad behavior.

If you can document the bad behavior without identifying yourself, you could continue to report the manager in question. But you are wise not to let them know you were the one who reported the incident.
