Took maternity leave and now using my FMLA days to work partime but have to travel. can i resign and claim?

I have to travel out of state and don't want to be away from my child. If I resigned would I be able to claim in MI?

unemployment?
probably not unless.........
the job you had prior to maternity leave did not involve ANY travel.
if that is the case then the job changed significantly in which case you can quit and may qualify for unemployment insurance.
there are numerous other criteria involved, the reason for a job loss is just one factor.

if you want to claim something else a little clarification would help......

Unemployment? No. If travel is part of the job, your options are to see if you can transfer to a differend job, or to quit. But that's your decision, and you wouldn't be entitled to unemployment - and they don't have to let you transfer unless they want to.

No.....you have to be available for full time employment.....Resignation is the same as quit.......your out.........
