WORK MAKING ME SICK - should I stay in hell or should I go?
Find answers to your legal question.

WORK MAKING ME SICK - should I stay in hell or should I go?

I have mayor work issues. I really cant explain everything in detail (Not enough space) but I've gone to seek professional help - and it's blown up in my face. I went to the labor dept and they made sure they fix things, have been to out place twice now. The problem is that it gets worse now because they expect its me and now they wanna try and get anything they can on me to fire me. I cant sit without work now. I cant sleep at nigh, it ruins my life, I feel the worrying effecting my health. All I'm trying to do (al im thinking about is should I staya nd try to work things out or should I put in my resighnation first thing tommorow moring? The more I think about it the more confused I get! Any advise would give me a different point of view. Maybe I need another take on this whole big mess! What would you do?

It is illegal for them to fire you for reporting them to the labor board. If they do fire you for that, you could sue them for so much!!! So don't worry about that.

Read "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie.

You should never worrry at all actually. There are only 2 possiblities of what could happen.

1. Either it will happen, no matter if you worry about it, in which case, all that worrying was wasted.

2. It won't happen, again, you worried for nothing.

Either way, don't worry, it isn't worth it.

Wait to quit until you have a sure bet with someone else. Fill in aplications and turn thm in until you get another job. Give up your 2 weeks notice and let them have it. If they give you sidtaions and what not just say they wanted to keep you as thier best employee. Say they just wanted to screw up your work history so they would be the only ones to hire you back.

I wouldnt stay if its causing you that kind of stress. You should first look for another job because you never quit a job and not have another one...and the way the economy is...its hard finding jobs these days....i would say do everything you are supposed to do. Dont give them any reason to fire you....hell, you need your job! If you didnt, you would have been quit...So don't let people run you off your job. Fight till the death! And like i said, seek other employment but don't quit until you've found something else better. And just to let you know...people go through all kinds of stuff their job!! You are not the only one who feels like you are in hell...lol...so be strong...your a woman and its your world!

this is me
if work is making you that misrable then get outta there! you seem like a nice person who just need to get your head on straight. your job is not making you happy so no question about it...drop the job. life is not worth living unless you are happy! =) so go out there and make things happen, starting with that horroble job! good luck

Dust off your resume and start looking for something you might find more suitable. No one should have to work in miserable conditions.

Have you thought about updating your resume for a new job? Before you put in your resignation or notice, make sure you have the funds to tide you over until you get another job. While it is hard to be in a position where you are under fire, keep your head down, do your work and don't follow any gossip or contribute to it. Keep everything neutral if you have to talk to anyone. I know, it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. You have to decide which is better - I was in that position last year, and decided to leave. Luckily, I was able to get a few temp jobs before finding a permanent job. Oh, I feel so much better now.

Quit your job. I'm going to be blunt.

Staying in a job which is causing you undue stress will take you down and out, and it can cause problems with your health. See a doctor and get a referral to a pyschologist and sort out your problems.

You need one hellva long break.

dont let any thing make you feel like that.at the end of the day if your not happy then change it,before you cause damage to yourself thats irreversible

Make them fire you before quitting. They haven't fired you yet because they don't want to get a call from the unemployment office. If you quit the unemployment office can't make them pay you. Their are laws in some states that say that a new employer can only call your former place of employment and asked if you worked their. If they say any thing else that could render you from future employment they can be sued. Don't let them get to you if it is makeing you unhappy stay their and don't anything but the bare minimom. Don't quit unless you have a new job lined up.
