I am a highschool graduate, and Im wondering what would increase my chances of doing well on the test and getting accepted.
I plan on attending police foundations in September.
and yes, being in good health is a given.

Firstly you have to stay in school I can't stress that enough you have to have your year 12 certificate or equivalent and a clean record E.G no convictions against your name , and be in good health condition
You'll have to go to basic training for about 4 to 6months I think it was and I'm pretty sure you'll need to complete a Bachelors degree criminology and criminal justice too but there is like a police training college were you can do everything there.

If you are not in good physical condition. Work at getting that way. That will be something you can control right now. Also, have you thought about going to the police station and asking them what they suggest? I'm sure there is more to do just a few suggestions. |

Buy a good prep book and study and get in shape for the PT test. The best thing is find a state you do not need a degree to get in. If you can make it into the CA highway patrol you can make as much as 100K a year. You can only go so far in this career so start networking with the right people who are on the inside for better success. ~mdh~ |
