What's a better choice for law school major: international law or criminal?

i'm black and i want 2 be in a field with not that many blacks

This one is easy. Choose whichever legal field you find the most interesting. You will always be more successful in a field that you enjoy -- and that's true regardless of what "color" you are. A sanitation engineer who enjoys his work will usually end up much more successful (and that includes having more money) than a lawyer who hates working as a lawyer.

If you're not already in a law school, I agree with the person above who mentioned the military. If you're a college graduate and can qualify, and can "cut the mustard" as an officer candidate, are accepted to a law school and are willing to take on a six-year commitment to work as a military lawyer after graduating, you can probably have the government pay for your tuition and all expenses at law school, while giving you a salary to boot!

Plus, as far as the potential for advancement is concerned, the American military services are probably the most "colorblind" professional organizations in the world.
