Make out a letter of resignation and ask for a letter of recommendation too (this is good for when employers need references). Give 2 weeks notice as not to burn any bridges because you may need them in the future for references at a later job.

It is best to talk to your supervisor and indicate that you are quitting. Before you do, have a resignation letter with the last date indicated on it. Explain that you have found another position and that you are resigning effective (date). Then hand your supervisor the letter. |
