not the best legal secretaries can make cash but it'll take schooling, experience and hard work like anything else. you're better off doing this part time before you try to make it a career. it can be quite predictable/bland if you do it everyday. |

If you enjoy talking to people constantly, smiling all the time, and multi tasking you'll be a great receptionist. It is a lot harder than one would expect, but it is a position that comes with great respect if done well. It can be incredibly fun and days go by rather quickly due to you being constantly busy. In my experience, companies promote from the reception desk so if you are looking for a career make sure that you enjoy the industry you choose. Pay ranges depending on the size of the business and what you will be doing daily. I would say your best bet is to ask around or simply make phone calls to area business' to see if they are looking for someone. I've found that most companies don't promote the reception job in the newspaper or online. Besides, being proactive always helps to land a job! Hope this helps! Good luck! |
