PLEASE.......
My daughter, currently a Junior in college, wishes to put her Major in Sociology to good use, and is wondering What Career Options Are Available To Her. She is studying Law (has a Minor in Criminal Justice) and would prefer a Job that might tie these two studies together. (prefers no, not for profit please)

Sounds like she could be headed for a job in Domestic Violence Recovery. Good Luck to her, it is a place were people (women usually) have been so worn down, they cannot think any more. Sometimes you just need some-one to say, Right now! OK, let's get you back on your feet and functioning again, this is what you are going to do" and give them their legal rights. |

If you have a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be in front of of the masses when it comes to hunting for professions. My mate has a degree and he wasn't certain what direction to go with it, eventually he went in a completely different direction, he earns his keep from Google alone. Have a look at the site below. |

not much. in some rural areas she might be able to be a case worker, but that's about it. other than that, she could be an intern for some sort of research group in hopes of eventually getting a full time position.
honestly i'd feel her out and see if she'd be interested in grad school and law school.
if she got a masters, she could be case worker anywhere, a parole officer or judge, a community planner, and lots of other stuff. |
