What Should I Do Please Help!!! SCHOOL OR WORK?

Okay I am in High School and I really have been persuing the law occupation but i am not sure how to exactly enter the Field... Many say just go straight into college and work hard, while others say it would be better for me to do school and maybe become a parallegal/ legal assistant just to have some kind of experience under my belt but still go to school. Can i do that and is that a good idea. I have a 3.7 average and i believe i will become successful in what i want to do but i really am confused with this.

My advice is that you have to have school. and in the profession your looking at getting into having a degree with a top GPA is extremely important. Also Law school takes a really long time so you should start right away. That being said experience is also important.

My college had a sort of legal aid department where is was law students giving advice of what people should do in some situations. If you could get a job like that in you college working part-time you'll be putting the attention you need into schooling while at the same time getting some experience.

A 3.7 is an excellent GPA. You will succeed. I would go to college and become a parallegal or leagal asssistant. I want to enter the field of broadcasting. I am going to attend Boise State, but I will major in communications first.

i say school because when you finish school you'll graduate and get your squaller ship so the workers will accept you more easily

Go to school, if you dont have to work and do school prolong that as long as possible but by your junior year you really need to have an internship or some type of experience. College is important because it teaches you to think and be independant, but the social aspects are equally important as long as you don't overindulge. Get a feel for college before jumping into work. College is a lot different then high school. Unless you know somebody most firms want you to have at least a 2 year degree or some college course work to be a parallegal or legal assistant. Great grades in high school do not neccessarily mean great grades in college. Prepare yourself emoptionally to deal with that and to do the extra studying and assignments it will take to accomplish your goals. Go to school learn balance, work hard, have fun, network and get exoperience when the time comes.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence and determination. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent."
C. Coolidge 1872-1933

Well if you can go to school for 7 years and never have to pay bills then go for it. I am in law school right now and it is very time consuming. I work plus take care of two kids and school so it can be done. I personally like the idea of working and getting some things under my belt versus just ok now I am here and where do I go. Plus I could not afford law school if I did not work
