have a job interview for a legal position in the government....any ideas please ?i'd appreciate any suggestions you may give ...... i am so nervous i hate interviews !!!

The best answer to "why should we hire you?" is about what you will bring to the company, i.e. why you are the best person at that job. Stress that you are detail-oriented and driven.

The best answer to "why do you want this job?" is about why you personally want to work in government and in the legal field. Say you want to give back to the community and you are fascinated with the law.

Another really common question in government interviews is to give an example of a communication problem you had with a coworker, and what you did about it.

It helps with nervousness if you write out your answers first so you are confident what to say.
