I was thinking about being a lawyer and I know that it is good if they have an INTJ personality, but what other characteristics do they need? Is it good if they are curious?

The field of law is broader than one might think. Most people think of the type-A litigators, but over 90 percent of lawyers have a desk job and never see a courtroom. I think any personality trait could fit. |

A lawyer spends his day reading, writing, and talking. So, you better love reading, writing, and talking. I read the equivalent of a novel a week for work. I write a lot! I also spend a lot of time talking to clients and prospects. |

I suppose an INTJ would make a good lawyer. I'm an INFJ and have never found the law particularly fulfilling, even though I am "good" at it.
Curiousity is a good thing in law, yes. Probably though the key things are a very high energy level, good attention to detail, being very quick mentally, and not minding always being in an adversarial position.
You really have to not mind always being "at war". |
