I am currently a law student and in a few weeks will be working as a law clerk. Unfortunately this position is unpaid. I need a job that I can work at night to keep my bills from piling up. Any suggestions? I was thinking stocking at night at a supermarket or something, but is there anything else?

I suggest you find a position that at least pays minimuim wage. Otherwise you are going to be burning yourself out and that will not give you a good referance. If you are going to go through with this, ask the firm if they will at least give you equal time doing something for pay around the office. Otherwise, I suggest you look at getting a counter job at a family run restaurant that is very close to where you live. Or a golf course. I worked as a kitchen girl and I always left with a doggie bag of left-overs and a full stomach, people love feeding you when you are a student. If you are close to home you can just save on transportation. |
