There are a lot. They are not only national laws, but law from the EU as well.
First, any form of employment needs a contract. The employee must have a contract of employment.
Then there are a whole series of laws that relate to the conditions of work.
These include;
- hours worked;
- minimum wage;
- age, gender and racial discrimination;
- certain work, life balance issues;
- holiday entitlements;
- health and saftey;
- training;
- union rights and consultation etc.
- redundancy and dismissal
Employment law is different in different countries.
