What could I do if there a lazy employee who doesnt do his job but is friends with the boss?

The said employee manages to sit around, doest help with cleaning up, and doesn’t even wear the required uniform. The boss does nothing about it, and I have no idea where to turn to. All of the other employees are tired of doing the extra work that he refuses to do. Hes basically getting paid to come to work and sit around.

document..... document......document. - both the employee's shortcomings, and your complaints to the boss and his reactions.
A lot depends on the size of the company. If you have an HR department, I'd run the situation past someone there, just asking for advice.... they might either have some good advice, or even actually be able to precipitate some action. |

you need 2 get with the rest of the employees and all of you need 2 comfront your boss the more people the more intimidation the better the shock value.do it when this person is not there.state your concerns if nothing changes then all of you stop doing the extra work refuse if u get wrote up then u request his boss the loudest wheel gets the grease how bout you get 3or4 loud wheels belive me something will get done
if u stop doing the work you take the power away from the lazy one if all else fails its unfair work practices get a lawyer |

Realistically, what options do you have? Does your boss have a boss? But first, can you talk to your boss about this?
Just because someone is friends with the boss doesn't mean that they can necessarily get away with stuff?
It's hard not being in your situation. Based on what you've said, I would just do my work and not worry about it. That's how I am typically. I cannot change other people. I've done well so far in my career. |
