What do I do? Am I being discriminated against?

I work for a company in Arizona. I work in the kitchen with a boss who hardly ever enforces punishment. One of the people I work with in the kitchen is the daughter of someone who is in administration in the building. She is always calling off, coming in late, not working when she is clocked in. In fact just a few nights ago she came in and threw a FIT and left the kitchen for about an hour, completely throwing us off course, by the way I work for a retirement home where the residents are supposed to be fed and set times based on federal and state laws. This goes on constantly, and the boss always says " she is just going threw probelms outside of work" I have worked there for like 8 months and its been going on for as long as i can remeber. in fact i have actually say " Well my mom has more authority then Terri(the kitchen supervisor) does, so i have nothing to worry about

I am not the one whos mom works in admin. i work with the girl who;s mom works in admin

talk to your mom then if it bothers you so much.

Nope you are not being discriminated against. Just if they ever have a go at you for doing something she does say that you have "problems outside of work causing you to be like it" and then technically they cannot do anything because if they don't treat you the same you can then bring up equal opportunities and treating everyone the same no matter if they know someone in the company or not.

I cant see any particular act of discrimination there.
But there is nepotism rife!
which means that this girl is being given preferential treatment but as far as i can se there is no actual act of discrimination against you.
It all sounds very frustrating though.
look for another job, you will never be happy there.

am I being discriminated against?? problem: my 14 mo old daughter had to be seen by an allergist yesterday, and after 2months for waiting for the appointment, and being told by that staff & the staff that referred us that we DID NOT need a referral, so we get to the appointment and they are like oh u need to fill out these papers, ok not a big deal, and then they are like we need a referral im like not what i was told but umm ok no biggie i called her dr had them fax it over, then they said oh we need one for an allergist (the one they said said for dermatologist & allergy cause thats where we were at) so they faxed it over again now mind u we have been waiting for about 35 minutes at this point and then i asked them if they recieved it, they said Yes but we have to reschedule ur passed ur appointment time!!!!!!! REALLY?!?!?! and shes like our 3 o clock apt is here and the guy is like no let the baby go i can wait....and shes like no sir it dont work like that now ive had issues with this place before telling information to my abusive ex husband when i had SIGNED A PAPER saying NOT TO TELL HIM OR ANYOEN WIHTOUT MY CONSENT!!!!! so i wanna know can i have a possible law suit against them??? please let me know or email me at captiveheart1220@gmail.com to let me know thanks!
