Why can't you get a job? Find references that aren't from your recent employer, and when you are asked why you left your recent job, evade the question in a way that is not lying, but that doesn't admit that you are a thief. |

The fact is that you are not required to put that down on any employment application unless you were convicted. Legally the person who is giving you a reference would not be permitted to mention the theft unless you were convicted. You could just ask for a reference from them that states from what dates you were employed there. If they write anything other than that it could be considered defamatory, and you could take legal action against them. |

Well, what I would do is consult with a reputable employment agency. They should be able to give you advice as to what options you have, and what to say when asked why you left your job. I believe that they are there to assist with that type of thing. |
