For most lawyers being in a courtroom is one of the smallest parts of the job. Lawyers have to spend a lot of time interviewing clients, doing research, reading, and writing motions and briefs. Of course it all depends on what type of lawyer you are!

Being in the Courtroom involves about 1% of the actual job. DONT believe what you see on TV. LOTS of paperwork - LOTS of reading - LOTS of research.

Warning: Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!!! This is NOT a good field to invest in right now!!! Reasons: very bad economy, there are simply way too many attorneys right now (look in your phone book, yellow section, look under "A"), too many people today (mistakenly) think they can do their own legal work thanks to the WWWeb, there are WAY TOO MANY law schools today (this includes for legal support professionals) churning out WAY TOO MANY graduates for the economy (but the law schools wont tell you this - law students are easy money).

Even if you do make it through law school, you probably wont be able to find a job.

in order to become a lawyer you have to have a 4.0 or higher. you have to take your job seriously and work very hard to win a case that you get assigned to.
