it depends on the state you are in.
most states do not have a limit, while school is out of session, for those who are 16 or older.

in most states you cant work overnight because of curfew. but each state is different an it might Even go down to the city level. check with your city department of economic security or something like that.

during the summer you can work 32 hours or less legally,
curfew laws also come into play though for all minors, but there are exceptions to every law/rule
