Law Schools like to build diverse classes, they do not like to have an entire class filled with Political Science or Criminal Justice majors, so having a unique major will be to your advantage (provided it's not underwater basket weaving). Law schools also like majors that are perceived as intellectually rigorous. I'd recommend you stay away from Pre-law, Criminal Justice, and Political Science because they are very common and will not make you stand out. The most important thing is that you select a major that is interesting to you and that you will excel in (the two primary factors in law school admissions is your LSAT score and your GPA, so keep this in mind). |
