I am a CNA (Certified Nursing Asst). I was at an interview and things were going well. Then as I was leaving the interviewer stated I had one more thing to fill out before I was hired. It was a form for a Background Check. It asked for my maiden name, my last 8 years of residence, and it I had a criminal record. In all my years in this field I have never had to do this.
I certainly don't have a criminal record. But I have an evication on my credit from 5 years ago. Plus my credit is not the best.
What information are they looking for. I would really like this job.

When they do a background check they are checking to see if you have ever been arrested for anything. |

Mainly looking for criminal history, but if there is lots of good candidates, they may look more closer and see if any of them seem to be close to desperate, e.g. bankruptcies, lots of debt etc, which can make some people thieve at work etc.
Do a background check on yourself and this site will show pretty much everything they will see.
