What is best to wear on an interview in the summertime?

Is the normal uniform dark skirtsuit and white crisp shirt and pumps more suitable or can I wear a short sleeve dress and pumps?

When in doubt, go with the most customary! I would wear the dark suite ( you can replace the pants with skirts and wear sheer beige pantyhose to give it a cooler look). Also my suggestion would be to avoid short sleeve dresses. Wear a nice top underneath so you can take the jacket off the moment you leave the interview! :)

Whenever you are interviewing you want to just be slightly more conservative than the general office attire. That means play it safe but if you are interviewing for more of an artsy company or a younger company you may not want to be totally conservative.

My advice would be to be as conservative as possible unless you have reason to believe that this would hurt your chances of having a successful interview.

I'd ALWAYS go with the dark suit.

I think either would be acceptable, as would maybe a nice sundress with a short sleeved cardigan over it.

Dont ever wear anything other than a suit or jacket and skirt or slacks. Ever. Never.

The suit is better, but if the dress has classic lines (not a print or bright color) you would likely be OK.
