Find answers to your legal question.

What is the formula to calculate the sick leave.?

How do you calculate sick leave and what is the formula to arrive at a % age.

Do you mean the Bradford score?

This is calculated as number of days off * (number of occasions squared)

eg: employee off for 5 days in one occasion, bradford socre = 5

employee off for 5 days on 3 seperate occasions, bradford score = 45

There is no formula

If you earn £87 per week or more you are entitled to 28 weeks leave with SSP from the 4th day of sickness

regardless of how long yoy have worked for that employer

there are sssp calculators on the hmrc website.

The standard one week accrual rate is .4167 days per month.

There is no formula. I have included a Citizens Advice link for a PDF leaflet. You can get Statutory Sick Pay for up to 28 weeks. If you are still sick after that time and you are under 60 the next step is Incapacity benefit.

Have a look at the ACAS website there is all the statutory information there.
