From 21-12-2001, The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) came into force and this applies to larger organizations (annual turnover of $3 million or more) while smaller companies (annual turnover below $3 million).
The recruiters will have to worry about reference checking, since lot of personal and even sensitive in formations needs to be very well managed. The second area is the method of short listing since
it will be open to the scrutiny of candidates. The third area will be the way in which candidate information is subsequently disclosed after its usage.
