What is the law regarding maternity leave?

If someone has been off from our company with paid maternity leave and upon returning announces a second pregnancy is maternity leave payable on the second birth?

depends on where you are and what the companies policy is..........

Yes it is. Maternity leave is payable no matter how many times someone gets pregnant and no matter how fast.

Yes, as well as the third, fourth and fifth and so on.. so long as she keeps to the usual rules. Informs the employer when she plans on taking her second amternity leave, gives appropriate notice etc... Been unfair for an employer to state a women could only have 1 child over there working time in that company.
