Although some states may have better rules the Federal rule is 15 minutes paid break for every four hours, and a 30 minute unpaid lunch after 6 hours. So in an 8 or without paid lunch 8-1/2 hour day 1 30 min lunch 2 - 15 min breaks |

Well, usually after 2-3 hours you are entitiled to a paid 10-15 minute break. Then, 5 (used to be 6) hours after your start time, you are entitled to a 30 minute unpaid lunch (some companies give an hour) and then, usually within 2 hours of returning from your lunch you get another 10-15 minute break (paid). This is based on an 8 hour work day. If you are working less than eight, like 6 hours, than you only get the 10-15 minuted paid break about half way through your shift. I hope that helped. Good luck. |

It really depends on the state, but most give you a break of 10-15 minutes after working for 4 hours. |

In most industries you are entitled to a 10-minte paid break after 4 hours of work, and a 30-minute unpaid meal break after 5 hours of work (unless your shift will end in 6 hours.) |

depends on state requirements. we'd need to know what state your are from.
ohio is 5 hours if you are a minor, if you are 18 you are not required a BREAK. some companies effected by terms of a contract with a union may offer different limits but are not required by law |

It depends on the job and some jobs are exempt, and how you are paid affects it too. |

In California, the completion of a meal period must occur before the end of the 5th hour worked. When that occurs is therefore dependent on your work schedule. |

In nearly all states there is no LEGAL requirement. Some companies make company policies allowing two paid breaks from 10 to 15 minutes long (any break less than 20 minutes long must be paid) -- one in the first four hours, the second is the last four hours.
Check out your state's department of labor website, wage and hour division for the right answer. |
