If you mean unemployment benefits, then you have the right to appeal the determination by the unemployment board. You can request a hearing, etc. The information should be in the paperwork you were sent denying you the opportunity to collect unemployment benefits. BUT, there usually is a deadline within which to appeal. DON'T MISS THE DEADLINE!
You will need an attorney who specializes in unemployment compensation. |

some states are 'at will' states so look up your states info to see if yours is one of those states.
BY 'at will' you can be fired at any time for any reason as long as you are not fired for being a member of a protected class(too old, disabled etc)
I would definitely contact a lawyer...look into the phonebook and see if you can find an employment lawyer.
MOst wont take the case (not enough money)

The likely hood you want to spend a lot of money after loosing your job is pretty low.It s the pits when life deals with us unfairly.In fact its very frustrating,if you want results ,try the district attorneys office.File a complaint.No fees involved.If you can prove your case,get a legal eagle's help.Sometimes the employment office takes a interest if you fairly state your case without mud slinging.You must sound like a level headed adult.They look at these as a look into your persona.If you are vengeful,it doesn't look well.If the employer has a habit of lying,it proves out in a pattern to be looked into.
