These people will not leave me alone. They've been calling for the last two months and I keep telling them I'm not interested, take me off the list and stop calling. I got a call last night and when I got nasty with the guy he told me I need to be "nice". I blew up!! The last thing he told me was good luck on all the future, annoying calls I would be getting from them and he hung up on me. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have my home phone and my cell phone on the do-not-call list.

Tell the guy you are recording this conversation and you want his supervisors name address and phone number.........remind him that you requested to be placed on the do not call list and you will report him if he calls again....... |

yeah even collection agencies do this tactic too. basically tell anyone else you are on the 'do not call list', after you get their name. you can even go on line to put your cell phone number on the list now along with your home. It's annoying, we all know. just ignore the calls and move on |

If you have already asked them to stop calling and to remove your name from their calling list, I would contact an attorney to pursue legal action. It is harrassment at this point and illegal for them to continue to pester you and they can be fined for doing so. Also, start making a list (caller ID would be great for this!) of when they call. |

How annoying!
Here's the steps you need to take:
Use the following phrase "Put my number on your don't-call list". Per FCC requirements, once you've said this sentence, the telemarketer is prohibited from calling you again for 10 years. (Make sure you say that exact sentence. Just saying 'Take me off your list' or 'Stop calling me' does not legally force the telemarketer to stop calling you).
Get the name of the caller and the company's name and address, and ask the caller for a copy of the company's don't-call list. If the telemarketer doesn't know what that is or cannot supply you with one, take action by filing a formal complaint with the government agency. Contact Know Fraud at (877) 987-3728; www.consumer.gov/knowfraud.
