Warning! Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is not a good field to invest in. Many reasons. Main reason? We simply have WAY TOO MANY lawyers - we have a GLUT of attorneys.
The root of the problem is that we have way too many law schools - but law students are easy money for them. The law schools know this, but they continue to churn out graduates even though the economy is SATURATED. So even IF you do finish law school, you probably won't be able to find a job when you are done.
Suggestion: Consider the field of Healthcare! >>> LOTS of jobs there! and scholarships!

Good answers so far, although i can't really agree with "mailaccount63" -- he might be right about a glut of law students, but no matter how many lawyers there are, if you're good and you have a passion for the field, you'll do fine. Here is one additional suggestion, about classes/activities to pursue in school. If possible, take a logic class, and take a debate (aka forensics) class and/or join the club. If there are any clubs.organizations that teach/practice public speaking, that would be time well spent too. Good luck! |
