i worked for a company 2 weeks and without me knowing anything, they closed down, and i did not get paid for the hourse i worked? what can i do about it? i can't get hold of the boss or anything, i went to the office and they say they don't have any other contact details for my boss. i think this is unfair, i mean i've got bills to pay? what can i do?

Call ACAS first thing in the morning and ask for their advice.
You're right, it is completely unfair, but unfortunately I doubt you're going to get anything out of the company if they've closed, no doubt due to financial problems. However you should still contact ACAS because there may be a way of recovering the money from the state.
You will be entitled to claim Income Support immediately, so get down to the DWP office and get that sorted. |

Immediately contact your state's wage and labor board and find out the procedure of filing a complaint against that company! Do this right away! |
