Oh educated people...did you not ever use slang when you were growing up? Learn to give positive advice without putting people down. It doesn't make you sound smart, just snobby. She's obviously young and I doubt that she would ever use thanx in a work environment.

You will be fine sweetie.

The most important subject that you need to be master of, is English. You need to be able to read, write and communicate in proper English. Not "street English". My suggestion to you is, take English as your first subject, maths will be of help as will history. I mention history because to have a knowledge of history you will have to do a lot of reading. Which is exactly the attributes that you will need to be a para-legal. You must be able to make people understand what you are saying or writing without any ambiguity. For instance, why invent a word, "thanks" is quite alright as it is.

In 100% agreement with answerer Jimbo. English is very important and I cannot begin to tell you the number of paralegals I had to fire at any given point due to the lack thereof. At most and depending on the organization (law firm? boutique firm? law office?) Require at minimum 2 years college, 1 year experience, and preferably a certification (not online.) The law offices and even some boutique firms will waive the one year experience if you have the associates degree and certification.

Are you currently in high school? To be a successful paralegal the first step is to get a paralegal education. There are specialized schools that offer 2 and 4 year degrees in paralegal studies. And there, you can rest assured that you are taking all the classes you need and none you don't. Follow this link to find American Bar Association approved schools in your area, just click on your state: http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/paralegals/directory/home.html

Yes. Business courses as well. Being computer literate is a must. Get a HS diploma. Some sort of college is needed and try to find any job at a law firm such as filing. I agree with the above statement. Learn how to use proper and correct English and grammar. When you say "you was" etc one comes across as ignorant and is treated as such.
