What would happen if my best friend was to dob in her husband for dealing drugs?

She has asked him to stop but the money is too good so he wont, if she rang the cops on him would he have to find out that it was her? Would he go to jail if it is his first drug offence? Australia

Hi there, good on her if he were to get caught without her dobbing him in she too would be charged. She can phone up a 1800 number and she does not have to give her details or name, also then she may be implicated, on the other hand if she were to seek help from the Police then she can ask not to be involved or named, and they will respect that. I think good on her, drugs kill.
If this is his first offence and depending how much quantity he has, it is very unlikely he will go away, but then it depends if he has been charged before for other offences.
I hope she does it, it doesn't mean she doesn't love him, it means she has had enough and loves him enough to save him. |

Why would you dob in your own husband? She must have some serious issues with herself and her relationship...it's nonsensical and very desperate...why dosen't she leave him? If she thinks hubby won't find out, she's kidding herself. The police don't care about her or her husband...they are BOTH dopeheads in their eyes and will do everything they possibly can to get a conviction and just because it's a first offence, dosen't mean the police won't try to have him imprisoned. If he does go to prison, is she going to visit and/or take him things he may need? How will she cope? Women like your best friend really piss me off because if the shoe were on the other foot, how would they feel? Her husband will probably forgive her but think how much harder things will be for both of them if she rats on him...even worse if there are children involved. Tell your mate to get a life if she's not happy with the one she has now. |
