Human resources or social development. There are job opportunities that believe in giving people second chances !!!
Community counseling is also a great field. |

There are alot of non-profit agencies out there that help people with this. They work with the community that you live in and place you in jobs that know you have had problems in the past. I am not sure where you live, but I know some good ones out here in Los Angeles county.
Ask your probation officer, they might be able to direct you to something helpful. |

What you should do is look into job placement through a rehab group. I don't have any experience with this myself, but I'm sure there are groups who specialize in job placement for people like yourself. |

Look into the laws of these states: Hawaii, Massachusetts, and California. I believe those states are the most liberal for former offenders. The felony part is the toughest hurdle. If you had a misdemeanor, it might be easier.
Some states have a system in place which allow you to get a pardon after a period of time. You can't get arrested during that period and you would usually have to demonstrate a series of community service work. But, that's long term.
Finally, there are some small and medium firms that will hire you with a record. You can also free lance or go into business for yourself. |

if you are ready to quite old habits and work you way into the family life, then I would recommend farming.
It's hard, long hours, but a man is respected for what he does, and not his record and lack of it. Go up north, plenty of opportunities there.
My you be supported for a second chance.

Have you ever thought of giving your life to the Lord? He can create in you a clean heart and a new hope. He will provide for you and make a way. Through Christ all things are possible.
I used to be on the wrong path and then I just decided to give my life to the Lord. I was a different person, but I have changed. The Lord changes you to be like him.
Not only will you have a loving father to take care of you and watch out for you, but you will also be guaranteed eternity in heaven with Him and all other believers.
All you have to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and that you want to turn your life over to Him. Confess that you are a sinner and that you have sinned against Him and ask Him for forgiveness. This He will hear attentively and you life will transform and you can cast all your cares upon Him and he'll work everything out for you.
Constantly pray and ask Him to guide, direct and show you where you need to go and what you need to do. Ask Him to align your desires with His desires and let His will be done.
GOD LOVES YOU! He sent his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins so that you can have eternal life in Heaven with Him. He wants all His lost to be saved. When Jesus was being nailed to the cross, YOU, personally were in his heart and he died for YOU. If you were the only person on earth, he still would've died for you.
God is all GOOD, all KINDNESS and all LOVE. With God, you'll always find a way and it's always the right way. He has perfect timing.

Hire an attorney and try to get your record expunged. You will need to check with your state statutes and see if the felony is an enumerated felony eligible for expungment. |
