i posted my rusume on one of those search engines looking for another job. a employer saw my resume and emailed me telling me that she would like to conduct an interview, im nervous because i really need another job, if a employer email or calls you for an interview is that good or bad news? what i mean by bad news , is that to see if they want to hire you or not?

Your resume already qualified you for the job, all they want to know now is what kind of person you are and if you want the job.

All interviews are to see if they want to hire you. So, I would take the email/call as good news. It doesn't mean you get the job straightaway, but hey, it's at least an interview. =) |

If an employer has contacted you, that means that they believe that your qualifications are a good match for the job that is available. Be happy! |

The only way that I could see it as being bad, is if your current employer sees the email (it is their right to check your email at the office!) or hears it on the phone, you could be fired.
It is always a good sign when a prospective employer wants to meet with you. That means that they are interested in you, and want to make a decision based on personal feelings when you meet.

What??? I you need/want a job and an employer emails you for an interview, how could that be a bad thing? Of course they want to interview you to see if they want to hire you or not. I don't know of ANY job that hires people without interviewing them first. |

any interview is to determine whether or not they employer is interested in ya or not. what other reason would they be scheduling an interview? it is good news in that you obviously made it though the initial application/resume review and were selected for an interview:)
Prepare for the interview if you're serious about getting the job!!!
