the governmentt is ******* stupid. they don't even realize how much money they could make if they just legalized and taxed marijuana. and they spend wayyy too much money on the DEA with pot cases. come on people, its just a plant. i smoke weed every day and i go to school and work two jobs! i'm not a criminal..i'm a pot head :]

I believe that the day weed is legalized is the day we see international peace. think about it. it everyone was to smoke all day and get high, no one would want to rob or hurt other people, everyone would just watch family guy, eat some doritos and chill.

And the government doesn't want that because if everyone is good all the time, there would be no need for their job, right?

First of all, the government has done such a good job demonizing marijuana through exaggeration, it would probably be impossible for them to come out now and say "oh, well, it's okay now." Second, the whole "drug war" is a great way to deflect peoples attention from real problems with the country. Lastly, people who go to jail for minor things like marijuana possession are typically "sold" to corporations for use in things like processing catalog orders and menial labor. Corporations like having cheap labor and they also pretty much control the government through cash donations and lobbyists. It's not really conducive to anyone in power to legalize something that they are getting so many benefits from it being illegal.

they can't legalize it because is messes with your mind.
the reason people can use it is because its medically directed. It's used for people with Cancer because it makes them 'high' thus not feeling any pain.

weed messes with your mind, therefore if it was legal a lot more criminals could get away with crimes. (Using the impaired -not in the right state of mind- defence)

When the government finds a way to tax and control it (so people can't grow it in there backyard) I bet it will be legal. The government is all about the green... I mean money.

it better not be. i hate people who smoke it i hate people who smoke in total your disgustingly polluting the land and people should be ashamed to what they are doing, just in ontarion 21,000 people are dieing a year from pollution. and quebec is close in that category. go green but not that green!

they need to hury up and legalize it, it has been proven that it is in fact good for you, and prevents the grouth of cancer cells, sure it is obviously not good for you to consume smoke, but its better than cigarets, the people who are against it obviously havent tried it, i laugh at people who claim weed is terible and messes with your mind, they dont even realize that people who are high are still fully functional, they are just having a better time. legalizing weed would end the drug cartel, because if people can get weed they dont need other drugs, people do pills and herowin and meth and crack because on the goverments chart weed is listed as the worst drug, they list it so because they claim its a gateway drug, but if its the worst than is it a gateway to less dangerous drugs that are more dangerous??? obviously the only people who should have the option to vote are the people who have tried it, otherwise they are making an uninformed biased desision. but unfortunataly people lable cannibis smokers as pot heads and drugs, so they dont listen to what they have to say, i could go on forever disproving any argument you may have, because any argument u could have would have to be bassed on lies and delusions, being as all the facts state that weed is infact verry bennificial, and not at all harmfull
