If I were you I'd keep as simple as "Class C misdemeanor in 19__ [200_]."
A class C misdemeanor could be something as simple as a speeding ticket. And it's the truth in your case - you had a Class C misdemeanor. So, you would be honestly describing your conviction.
If they want to know more, then they'll ask you and probably in person. And then you can use your shining personality and a good survival story to make you sound as upstanding and strong as John McCain's wife. (Past drug addict, now known as a survivor from what CNN reports.)
Words, my friend. Use them wisely and with much forethought.

Disclose it. Tell them what happened, that you have learned from your mistake and will never, ever do it again. Also, you might check with an attorney, but if your conviction was more than 10 years ago, you may not have to disclose anything. Check on that, though. |
