Find answers to your legal question.

When you accept a job, is it possible that you can have a trial of the company as well they do with you?

You know how a company might have a 3 month trial and if you are not up to the job they can get rid of you, well can an employee have the same deal, so if a job's not what you expect or you don't get on with the people etc. can you go to them and say you want to leave? If so, what do you say to them?

You can leave a job at any time, but try to do it nicely in case you need a reference from them.
Try to stick as near to the truth as you can without upsetting the man who matters.
Also don't quit a job before you have another lined up.

This is normally the case with any trial, but it's difficult because you'd usually have quit another job to go there, so you have much more to lose than they do.
It's best to try and find out from someone working there first how they feel about the company.

the trial period a company gives you works both ways , its to see if you fnd the job suitable as well as them finding you suitable for the job

A trial is just that: both ways.
And you can always give notice anyway.

However, if you are on benefits, then you would need to check with your benefits office to see under what conditions you could take a trial without it prejudicing your benefits claim if you quit.

In some instances, if you've been on benefits a long time then this is an option. In some instances a Jobcentre will know an employer has a bad reputation and they accept benefits claims from people who have quit from those companies without making the claimee wait a few months before getting benefits payments.

Unless you have a contract, you can leave any time you want to.

no when you accept the job you are their ****** for life, they think they're doing you a favour by hiring you. The option for leaving is always your own remit, no explanation needed. If the suit dont fit leave it! Heres how companies work, they hire you they let you go. They are under no legal obligation to inform you if they dont require your services anymore. I know acas blah blah but in the real world acas are a toothless dog. If you dont like the job find somewhere else first then tell them to stick it once you get whats yours.
