Yes, you will face more challenges than others but you will be more limited by your education than by your conviction.

There exists no special employment programs for convicted felons. Yet, there are programs for unemployed and underemployed individuals that will provide assistance and exposure.

Consider applying to schools offering educational programs that might provide
career options.

Be forthright and upfront about your conviction. It may not be a matter of pride but it is not the horrible resume cancer unless you embrace that thought.

References become important and should include a law enforcement agent if possible.

O.K. it is a tough job market. You will lose out to otherwise equal job candidates without a conviction. But there are plenty of jobs for individuals with a work ethic and motivation to prove oneself. This is what you sell to potential employers.

Face up to conviction. If applicable relate the crime to drugs or alcohol problems no longer existing. If you use this you should be able to prove responsibility by continuing attendance in Recovery programs.

The employer does not want to hear about your innocence, prosecutorial abuse or miscarriage of justice. Employers are not appellate courts. If they do not want you, let them be as upfront as you are with them.

Join a social group like Toastmasters or a networking group. Seek connections through your continuing expansion of contacts. You will prevail.

It will require a lot of research on your part. Some states, cities and community service organizations provide employment services for ex-felons. There has been some good advice in the answers such as going back to school either at a trade school (if there is any) or community college. Join some network organization like Toastmasters. Last thing: in the beginning don't be picky about what jobs to apply for - the important thing is to build a good employment history.
